Many mornings while still in bed, thoughts of care and concern for others run through my mind. Then, as if being pushed by the Lord, I realize that the best thing I can do is to remove myself from my bed and turn those cares, concerns, and worries into prayer. Seeking the Holy Spirit’s wisdom, I ask my heavenly Father to help me view those concerns as a prayer privilege. Acknowledging prayer is His love gift, I embrace it as a precious means of casting my prayers on Jesus’ grace through the cross.
With my heart and mind focused on His loving care and compassion, I find peace in His gracious and merciful answers to my prayers. I am confident that He will use prayer to teach me to trust in Him, allowing Him to do what is best. Prayer - this love gift – enables me to acknowledge that His heavenly, eternal plan revealed fully in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ for others far surpasses anything I can possibly envision. My loved ones are in His loving hands and I am thankful that my prayers are heard and answered. I can know with certainty that He will move forward in their lives for their good and His glory.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes to see that what You desire most through prayer. Use it to make me more aware of Your love as I communicate with You. Amen.
