I will not forget you! See I have engraved you in the palms of my hands.
Isaiah 49:15b, 16a
Deep in the recesses of Christ’s hands, your name and your life is etched. No price was too costly; no pain too severe. He saw your life before it began. He knew of your struggles and your pain and willingly allowed them to be cut into Him. He anticipated your anger, your fear, and your doubts, yet loved you anyway for He already carried them upon Himself while on the cross. All is forgiven. Again: All IS forgiven – not will be, but IS! When the flood waters rose, He was still with you (Is. 43:2). When the storm raged on, the wind and the rain did not separate you from Him (Ps. 104:3). And the amazing miracle, His grace, mercy, majesty, and power – although hidden at the time – will be reflected as you love others for Him. His miracles are soon to become visible, for His love was flowing the whole time (Gen. 50:20; Rom. 8:28). You now understand what pain and grief is. You can now better see the cross. Receive it! Share it! No greater gift can be given in this time of need!
Dear Jesus, thank You for engraving my life into Your hands. As I hide in Your cut hands, use me to restore others in this time of crisis. Amen.
