It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:25-26
A fun activity shared by two people as a reminder of God’s faithfulness is this: “God is good – all the time.” “And all the time – God is good!” This can be enjoyed with two friends or two family members celebrating the small things that occur in our lives or while sharing the apparent miracles witnessed. It is a means of centering our hearts and minds on the true source of all that is good. It opens our eyes to the wonders of God’s love in all things – large and small.
God’s goodness is revealed in Lamentations 3:25-26 in three ways. Those who desire to see this goodness will do so by hoping, seeking, and quietly waiting. Relying on it, we rest our hope in His plans and His results. Seeking Him in His Word, He guides us through the process and enlarges our hope. Thirdly, God desires that we not only wait for His responses and His wisdom but do so quietly and restfully as He fulfills His will for us by leading us to eternal life in His Son. And He does this all with the purpose of teaching us to trust – trust enough to hope, seek, and wait quietly in Him.
Dear Jesus, send me Your Holy Spirit that I may learn to rely on You as I discover Your goodness in all things. Amen.
