Bylaws revisions passed — now what?
 Did the 2002 District Bylaws Revision affect ZONE and SOCIETY bylaws? You be the judge!

Articles on Object, Membership and Parliamentary Authority MUST conform to national bylaws. (Zones: In addition, the article on representation at national convention must conform to national bylaws.)

Contact your zone president for Sample Bylaws found in Handbook, zone section — Zone (B1-B12), Society (A1-A8). You can also download Society Sample Barebones Bylaws and the District Bylaws here.

Compare samples with current bylaws. If the last revision was prior to 1999, these titles and terms have changed:

REMEMBER: Write flexible bylaws. Be brief; use barebones bylaws.
Use Standing Rules for items that may need frequent changing, such as meeting information, ad hoc committees, convention expenses for delegates, etc.

REMEMBER: Send proposed revisions to the District Structure Committee for approval prior to adoption. After adoption, send final copy for district file.
