District YWRs — Joanna Hoss and Laura Wilson
The two ladies currently serving the Texas District as District Young Woman Representatives are Joanna Hoss from Corpus Christi and Laura Wilson from Groves. The Texas District is truly blessed to have these young women representing us. Please keep them in your prayers during their journey as District YWRs and plan to utilize their enthusiasm to serve.

Twenty-five Young Woman Representatives attended the Texas District LWML convention in Beaumont. They had the opportunity to “Taste and See that the Lord is Good,” and now they're prepared to share with your zones and societies. Ask your zone YWR to speak at your next LWML event. They are willing and able to serve!

About the committee
The Committee on Young Women (COYW) was established to help encourage and organize the young women of the LWML. The committee establishes and reviews guidelines and forms for the Young Women program in accordance with directions from the National and District LWML. Young Women Program — YWRs
The Young Women program consists of Zone Young Women Representatives (ZYWR) and District Young Women Representatives (DYWR).

• A ZYWR is a two-year position, and the nomination process begins at the society level. Societies nominate young women within their zone (nominations are given to their zone president) and the zone executive board determines the selection. The newly selected ZYWR is expected to attend the Texas District Convention and to participate in various activities of her zone as requested by the zone president. Each zone may select one (1) or two (2) representatives.

• A DYWR is a two-year position, and the nomination process begins at the society level. Societies may nominate up to two young women from the list of eligible candidates. This information should be sent directly to the District Chairman of the Committee on Young Women. The selection is determined by the Texas District LWML Executive Committee. To be nominated for this position, the nominee must have previously served as a Zone YWR, and completed her term in that capacity. The newly selected DYWR is expected to attend the National LWML Convention representing the Texas District. She is also expected to attend the Texas District LWML Convention participating with the Committee on Young Women. She will be asked to participate with other duties assigned by the Committee on Young Women, and she should be available for speaking engagements as requested by individual societies or zones.

All nomination forms are available from your zone president. Nominations for ZYWR are odd-numbered years beginning in September and for DYWR beginning in September in even-numbered years.
