Spring Rally - Peace Lutheran Church, Groves, TX
The women of Peace Lutheran Church, Groves, LWML, prepared hearts for women who are recovering from Breast Cancer surgery. Our speaker for the Spring rally was Ruth Hatcher who spoke on the importance of breast cancer screening and breast health. Ruth is a Nurse Breast Navigator at Christus St. Mary's Mid-County Outpatient Pavillion in Port Arthur. A breast navigator is many things; they educate patients about procedures, sometimes give results, hold their hand during a biopsy, and routinely check on them. Breast navigators walk with patients from the biopsy, all the way through treatment and recovery.
