2026 Spring Servant Event - Saturday April 18, 2026
The Sunshine Zone met at Trinity Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove for their annual Servant Event, bringing together fifty volunteers for a morning of hands‑on service. Participants spread out across the community—organizing the pantry and clothing rooms at the Cove House Homeless Shelter, cleaning inside and weeding and trimming outside at Hope Pregnancy Center, cleaning classrooms for the teachers at Providence Christian Academy, assisting with carpet removal and renovation work at Trinity’s parsonage, assembling 80 Embrace Grace/Love Boxes, and sharing cookie trays with the Police and Fire Departments and nursing home staff. Trinity’s “Sisters in Service” and Immanuel’s “Ladies Aid” graciously hosted the morning, serving breakfast and lunch to everyone involved.
